    Screen protectors....think OUTSIDE the box...

    Hey all,

I have always had great luck at Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, etc. with finding extremely inexpensive alternatives to the 'specialized' screen protecors that are out there... Anyone have any to share?. some stores have entire sheets of material for a few bucks that you can cut 10 screen protectors from.....

let's see what we come up with...

    Thanks,

    Matt

good plan there Mr. El Cheapo <jk>... i'm pretty sure i saw a post a while ago with a cheap alternative but can't locate it.

    (n99hockey would advise duct tape if there was clear duct tape :}

    Lol,

I thought about packing tape -- but was afraid that the prolonged exposure to the adhesive would leave a perminant "gunk" on the screen...

    Matt!

    P.S. Rude -- you're 2 for 2 on the rips...lol

    really though,

Has anyone here used clear packing tape in the past? i am testing it on an old phone to see if the adhesive is bad for the screen.....

    Thanks,

    Matt!

Messing? Really? Haha.. Cause I have often thought of using it -- it WOULD be perfect if the adhesive wasn't so strong....

I found a set of 2 ipod screen covers that i trimmed and work fine - they were 3 bucks total.... so cheap alternatives are out there!

    Later,

    Matt :)

Cheap, works exceptionally well, and is available for extended battery. I have had two sets. One set I tore off when I was going to return the phone, and it left zero residue and came off easy when trying. Second set I have had on for around four months when only a small piece that started to come up on the top, but not a big deal. Also barely noticeable and I only use this as a case.
