    ScanLife-Barcode Scanner available for Q9C.

ScanLife-Barcode Scanner now available from your Q at www.softwarestore.sprint.wap in 'Free/Demo.'

    Checking it out now...

So far I haven't been able to scan anything. My camera seems too blurry when I put it up to a barcode. Anyone else have any luck?

tried it once before, saw it in an add in Wired. seems to only work on the EZ codes (like fedex uses)

What type of information does it provide then when you scan that?

Wish I could sharpen my camera quality.

yea i dont think this will work with the q9c's camera, unless there is a way to manually focus the lens. the base focus is set a few feet from the lens, so anything up close wont work.

My video shows my Q9c taking a bar code from my monitor, about 2-3 inches from the screen, and it worked fine.

there isn't a hack to change the focus of the lens. the minimum focal length is basically set by the apature (in this case) which is fixed...

Is that true? If so, they must have a new version of the app...I heard about it and downloaded it in February, and that version recognized QR Codes as well as EZCodes. Which is great because QR Codes are more widely used internationally, and will likely be more widely used in the US as well.

Here's what I had posted about it at that time:
    http://symbii.com/stories.php?sid=735&tid=52

I listed a QR code at the end of that article, so you can see if the version you have supports QR Codes.
