Replace HTC Touch with HTC Diamond on my Sprint Account

Is there any problem to replace a HTC Touch 6900 with a HTC Diamond 6950sp on Sprint? Sprint requires an All Data ,Call plan if I go to a new HTC Pro 2 - does that apply if I add the HTC Diamond?

Do I even need to tell Sprint my phone is a Diamond? or does the ESN tell them that anyway?

I think it probably would apply, but the basic plan with data is 69.99 right now. The ESN is going to tell them what kind of phone it is, and I think they were requiring data plans with smartphones before the Diamond, but I'm not sure how it would work if it's one that you pay full retail for (or one that you have) you may be able to put it on the plan you have that way.

FWIW the Touch Pro 2 is a great phone (even more so after yesterday's update)
