    If you want the MRU to display user defined keys, it should look like this in the xml file of the layout you're using:

    <!--MRU list: using small icons-->
    <plugin clsid="{D79E963B-2730-499c-A2CA-E48F383E6417}" name="startmru">
    <translaterockerkeys/>
    </plugin>

    The to displaying them I believe is the <traslaterockerkeys/>

    Edit your xml layout file and change the MRU list plugin portion to look similar to that and I think it should work for you.

    Edit and replace xml file

    I followed Graeme's instructions and it worked. Problem is the "motorola.home.xml" doesn't seem to support text titles accompanying the shortcut icons (a feature I like). What I did is copy the "cingular.home.xml" and edited it using notepad on my PC. The edits included removing the plug in for "Get Xpress Mail" (you can find by searching for "getmail". I also assigned a different internal title (see the red text below).

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <home>
    <author>Motorola</author>
    <contacturl>http://www.motorola.com/</contacturl>
    <title lang="0x0409">Custom</title>
    <version>1.0</version>

    I then saved the file as "custom.home.xml" and copied it back to Applications/Home on my phone. Turn off and restart phone. Select "Custom" from the My Stuff/Personalize My Q/Home Screen Settings.

    It works.

    This is a dandy little tool. Don't know how many times I've tabbed over your post before I finally gave it a try but I am thoroughly impressed. I'll definitely be purchasing this when the trial period expires. I really like the layout.

    Is there a cooked ROM out there for our Q's that will rid of all these at&t junk bloatware, but at the same time retain all the functions (including 3G)?

    I do not believe that there are any cooked ROMs out there for any Q, there is a Generic ROM for the Q9h (although you won't get 3G in the US with that)

    ROM kitchens appear to be mostly an HTC thing
