Q9m: How to save Contacts to Storage Card

I refuse to pay verizon to keep a backup of my contact list. I would also rather not use a 3rd party app. Where can I go in the file manager to save a copy of my contact list to my storage card?

thanks for the brow beating cliff... You guys sure have a way of makin people not ask easy questions more than once.... lol I figured activesync could send my contacts to my cpu but I wanted a stand alone solution using my memory card. I wasnt sure if pim.vol was the actual contact list before I saved it though. Thanks for all the help guys.

For what its worth -- if you manage your account online through Verizonwireless.com you get FREE VZBackup for your contacts.

I miss that function from my Q -- used to get it from my flip phone but I don't have the Verizon stuff on this Q for some reason.

What I meant to say was.... "I miss having that function ON my Q...." had it on my LG flip phone and loved it....

Your right... they don't put that stuff on the Q's... not sure about the 9m or 9c, but surely didn't have it on my 2nd gen.

If you just want to back up your contacts, and (like me) have no interest in installing Outlook on your computer, you should take a look at NS Contacts Backup:
    http://www.nyxbull.com/index.php?page=soft&id=nscb

It's freeware, and you can just save the backup file on your mini/micro SD card. In the event of a hard reset, reinstall the program and restore your contacts from the mini/micro SD card.

I'm surprised nobody suggested this already, and I registered just to post it here!

Works on my Q9h. I don't know about other models.

An advantage to using NSContacts Backup is that you can use NSContacts to add/edit/delete contacts from the backup file using your pc.
