I agree. You take it to another store and say, "Hey, my Q9c stopped working. I have insurance, please give me another. Thank you."

She didn't have the full insurance....They would not have replaced it.

Dafox: See above. Kay did try, but it was not covered under the insurance plan she had. You can bet that he will be getting the TEP plan for the new phone, though! The girl lives at the beach!!

Pfft, be ghetto. Put that crap in a ziplock bag and suck the air out.

    You know you want to...

I sell insurance for a living! This is the program Kay had in place at the time of the loss.

If the Sprint Store/Technician opened the phone and saw sand, or looked in the keys/screen/etc..(anywhere sand would accumulate), they would know that this was not mechanical or electrical failure.

    Equipment Service & Repair Program
Coverage for mechanical or electrical failure, routine maintenance and failure from normal wear and tear.

Sprint offers another plan which offer Total Equipment Protection. This covers the above, and loss/theft/water damage/usage damage.

If you do have the above mentioned insurance - they will replace it with a "like" or similar model (one that has the same capabilities)

Already been determined that she did not have "that" insurance. It is available, so, again, she says she will be getting it added to her new phone.

She said she went into the store, they looked at it, and told her no go...She bought another one for full price, and is putting full insurance on it...Case closed.

No need to run and hide. I sell insurance for a living, & part of my job is policy checking. My husband is actually proud of me that I was able to read the Sprint policy and decipher it!

Also, I have 5 phones on my plan, & all have Asurion Insurance. You bet I know what I'm paying for! (I have 3 kids, so I was most concerned with loss and theft!)
