    problem with redfly

Well - just for kicks and giggles, I tried to sync my
N to the Redfly (generally speaking, I am a fan of the Redfly but find it drags the q9c performance down to an unacceptable crawl). I installed the q9c driver and ended up with a paperweight. Had to hard reset.

Anyone tried with any degree of success?

Ahhh... I was just wondering about this! I have my poor little redfly sitting here un-used since I got the Storm and was looking forward to playing with it again with a wifi phone! I wonder it the Redfly driver for the ATT Q9 Global are different than the Q9c/m drivers and if so, maybe they might work... Worth a try...

I have a pretty light week coming up ... so I can handle a little down cell time; I may try again.

just a FYI the n has a bluetooth class 1.5. its just shy of 300ft range due to they share the same anttena[bluetooth/wifi ant= the same.which makes it a very powerful device.

Not yet. I called celio and spoke with a redfly engineer and he claimed that they started work on drivers but then halted when it became apparent the N would not see full retail distribution. That said, I may perform a hard reset over the weekend and try a clean install of the refly drivers... but i am not optimistic.

OK - rumor has it that a Napoleon is in route to the engineers at Celio Corp. I am looking forward to pairing my Nap and Redfly ... particularly now that the Redfly supports Skyfire.

Well now... since redfly supports skyfire now I may have to change my opinion of redfly.

If they get it ported to the Nap I will be one VERY happy camper. Works GREAT with the 9c. I'm hoping it's soon !!! :) -Q

I have exchange emails with the lead engineer who claims that things are progressing. There is a thread on this at the Celio developer forum, hosted over at WMExperts:
    http://forums.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=174931

The last (about 3 weeks old) official word was
"There are several interaction issues with the Napolean, but we have gotten past the first layer or two. It just came in too late in our development cycle to make the cut for this release, so I am sorry to say that we won't have a beta drive out for it, for at least a few more weeks. Once we release our current project, we will be able to go back and work on it some more."

It probably would not hurt if more inquiries were posted on the Celio forum.
