    Picture resolution

I have the resolution on my camera set to 1280 x 1024. The photo properties say the photos are 1280 x 1024 on the camera. However when I open the picture up in photoshop, it is listing the resolution as 600 x 480, which is in proportion, but not the same resolution.

I have taken a number of photos like this. What gives?

That is interesting, as I've tken hundreds of pics with mine, and not had the same problem. I know that the Q takes its images in 131 dpi, and is it possible that Photoshop is automatically adjusting the image compensating to bring it up to a higher DPI, thus reducing the image size?

Can you check it in another image program, starting with a fresh, new picture?

Nope, same thing 600x480. I looked at it in 2 other programs as well.

This is odd. I was wondering why my pictures looked so hideous. I know this is a cell phone camera, but I have seen better than what this takes.
