I took a picture of an alligator once but it was behind glass so I felt quite safe! :tounge: In your situation I most likely would have panicked and dropped my camera into the water! haha

I have to admit that the entire scene you've captured is reminiscent of Jurassic Park. You didn't by chance happen to get a shot of the T-Rex while you were there, did you? :D

Tony, where was this taken? If you say Le tour De France, I'm going to be very jealous.

Fun on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Canada. I got a lot of looks while I was setting up my tripod for this shot, forcing people to skate around me. :D

This is adorable!! I think I will use it for my HS. You've got to put this little guy in for the Picture of the month in May.
    Thanks srivard99! DQ

Thanks DQ, I'll keep that thread in mind when May comes around! :)

Thanks Cheri. I got bit by the photo bug about 4 years ago and I haven't looked back since - although I do curse it a lot when photos don't turn out like I expected, haha. This is one of the first photos I took, with an old Canon 1.2MP Powershot Elph. It's lacking in composition but it's what made me want to pursue this as a serious hobby.

    The more iceberg the merrier.

Who knows if we keep flattering him...maybe we will get lucky?

I spend most of my time on the other side of the camera. Taking pictures of myself seems like a boring and tedious task - the model can be quite a bitch! :laugh2:

    Hi riv,
That is on my list of things to do after I transfer vinyl to digital! LOL Seriously, I'd dig some up and scan, but Vista doesn't like my scanner anymore, so I'm waiting for them to come up with some drivers. If I can come up with something else, I'll post them for sure. I'm afraid my eyes won't allow me to focus the K1000 anymore, I hate taking pics wearing glasses. *sigh* I did a lot of work with fast B&W before it got popular to do so. Loved a 200 film on cloudy days, too. Nice even lighting and good saturation.

All 3 are great shots, Tony. I think I like the cycles best.

Don't tell people that! I saw it differently. The composition is just a bit off from the "rule of thirds", but that gives it a bit of tension in a shot that is full of beautiful color and beautiful flower. To me, that's what makes the shot better than ordinary!
