My phone (1 week old) locked up and fried for no particular reason too. I went back to verizon and they replaced the phone, and said that these Q9M's have freezing issues and many require a software update. Supposedly the new phone I got has it in it, and so far so good, its been working great.... I hope it stays that way.

I dont see how the razr charger would hurt it, it has the exact same voltage, and amperage output as the Q9M charger has. I dont think that is what fried your phone.

To see if you have the latest software update, go to Settings--> Phone Settings--> Phone Information and see if you have this Version listed:

    NL-BP_C_03.20.29P
    MP_BSP_C_04.08.65-15P_NM_P3.0

If thats not what you have, you can follow this link to get it:
