Windows Phone 7 Marketplace Surpasses 5,000 Apps
That's just as many apps as webOS and that's been out for 18 months. Not to mention, there are a ton of crap apps in Palm's App Catalog. I mean like real junk.
We will see the marketplace accelerating after CES.
Definitely. I'd expect we'll get information on the first big software update -- what's in it and when it's coming. I'm not sure it'll happen, but I'd love to see some big hardware news.
I have checked on the Microsoft websites and havent got information about a query I have in my mind. Does developers get a copy of the OS in advance for trial & development (just like they do for iOS)?
Not right now they don't. I'm sure MS will have to start doing this in the future but for right now you don't get a beta OS for the phone.
I switched from Sprint's Palm Pre to the Focus, but I still peruse the webOS app catalog frequently. You are absolutely right about the quality of apps available. These days it seems like the only new items are soundboards and sexy girl picture galleries.
