    Can I turn off Java/JavaScript?
Can I tell it to not load images?

This is how I mostly browse using Opera on Windows Mobile 6.5 and it is pretty fast for me on AT&T. Mostly news & tech blogs so the photos aren't very important.
I want the text. the info...

The only options I'm aware of are "website preference" -- Mobile version or Desktop version. I guess you could try Mobile Version.

Speaking from experience with this site, I'm not sure other sites have the current "sniffers" to even know you're browser is IE and you've selected 'Mobile'.

WP7's IE browser is not being recognized. I have mine set to Mobile, but I keep getting the full version of websites.
Not really an issue..my previous phone for the past 2.5 years was the Moto Q9h and mobile versions of websites was the only way to go. My Focus loads the full versions so quickly that I really don't mind.
