advanced is in the name of the midlet to install "opera-mini-4.0-9751-advanced"
Where would I find that midlet? I usually install by opening Jbed, going to install from url, then type mini.opera.com when it opens in PIE, and the rest happens on its own...
Googled Opera mini and PC download link is:
I reinstalled using the Moto Q advanced Midlet, but still get the white space -- but the white space is in the Jbed menu screen -- which, as far as I know, is unrelated to Opera. I don't get any white space in any of the java apps that are installed -- just in the jbed main screen. No biggie.
So are people here saying that they have gotten rid of the white space in Jbed (not just covered it up with white space in the background - but actually fixed it?)
Also, what is the advantage of using the advanced install?
Someone on here mentioned that the 'backspace' button works. Did they mean the backspace button on the Q keyboard -- or the backspace softkey? I am wondering because the Q's backspace hardkey does not function during an opera session for me...
That link grabs 4.0.10031 which is newer than the 4.0.9751 version mentioned earlier? Opera's version numbering is odd...
Also, we need the .jar file and not the .jad, correct?
I put the .jad and the .jar on my Q -- and let Jbed grab whichever it wanted (only one will show when you go to install). I was playing it safe....
Thx... I noticed the .jad was only 1KB so not a big deal
I cannot get past the Accept page, the soft buttons will not select Accept. HELP!!!!
Is there a way to change the start page on Opera Mini to one of my saved bookmarks?
