Sweet......The new Opera Mini 4.1 Beta allows saving webpages & files within Opera Mini (now Opera Mini doesn't have to launch a separate browser just for saving). Suppose to work great with the new Esmertec Jbed 3D mod.

    problem with Opera Mini 4.1

I'm having a problem with Opera Mini 4.1 on my Q (VZW) - although I've installed Jbed and Mini successfully - when I attempt to modify the settings in Opera - nothing works. I can move around the Settings screen, but can't select anything. When I attempt to enter a URL - I get erratic behavior with constantly repeating keys - rendering it useless to me so far. I had the same luck with Mini 4. Any suggestions??

Which version did you install? Maybe uninstall through JBed and try installing again? If you get it working, disable "Direct Address Input" to fix the issue with the URL entry.

I've uninstalled and re-installed both, ver 4 and 4.1 still without any luck. Ver 4 allows me to at least enter a URL and go to the site, but still cannot 'select' any settings to change - including disabling the 'direct address input'. My middle 'select' button is non functional in Opera for some reason. All I can do is move around the screen.

Do other jave things work, such as teashark? Maybe your version of jbed is wonky.

Might be the JBed you have.
Do a search for the new Esmertec Jbed 3D mod.

If Jbed is your issue, I have a copy of the .cab on my apps page if you want to see if it makes a difference.

I've got the E for 4.0 and Jbed in the start menu. But not one for 4.1. So to use 4.1 I have to got to Jbed to open instead of a direct link.

for some reason on some of the pages it loads already zoomed in and does not allow me to zoom out. Is there a default page size where it just figures its not worth it to have a zoom feature on?

also liking the fact that they fixed the connection popup. not that the workaround was hard or anything, but its nice they fixed it.

Also, I searched the forum for the esmertec jbed 3d mod but didn't find anything. Is it something new or I am probably using it already?

You have to create a new shortcut for 4.1. If you have the shortcut for 4.0, you can just edit it in Notepad on your PC. First copy that shortcut over to your PC (it's in Windows/Start Menu). Then go to Windows/Appdb and look at the files ordered by last modified. There will be some files near the top which have s0, s1, s2, etc. near the top. Find which one is the highest (mine was s5 because OM 4.1 was the fifth app I had installed in Jbed) and take note of the number. Then open the OM 4 shortcut on Notepad on your PC and change the shortcut to point to the correct program (s1, s2, or whatever it was that you saw in your Windows/Appdb folder). Then save as "all files" (not as a text file) and rename it to Opera Mini 4.1.lnk (make sure you leave the .lnk in the filename). Copy this back to your Windows/Start Menu folder on your Q, and it will run OM 4.1.
