Well DST stands for Daylight Savings Time so I assume it is the clock fix for the new DST dates that start this year. I would say go for it.

EDIT: OOPS I am an idiot. You weren't asking the question, bu providing the answer. Sorry.

    Daylight Savings Time Patch

I did a search for any info on the DST Patch, I didn't find any so I apologize if this is a duplicate post.

I just got my Q a couple of days ago and haven't had much spare time to throughly learn all the functions of my new toy. It prompted me to download the DST Patch to correct the new schedule for rolling the clocks back/forward. I live in the Central Time Zone and now my Q is showing Eastern time.

My question, is there a setting on the phone that I'm missing where you can change the time, all my previous phones did this automatically as long as you were connected to the digital network and not roaming.

Thanks in advance for any help.

My Q is setup with the wireless ActiveSync with my employer's Exchange server. I received an e-mail yesterday with a few links to .CAB files, one for smartphones. It was only 3K. It installed quickly (maybe 10 seconds), and then required me to change the time zone, then change it back to my time zone and was done. Painless.

I looked at all my appointments for next week and everything has been moved back 1 hour. Does Motorola put out a "patch", similar to the one that Microsoft has put out to fix this glitch?:frown:

    Daylight Savings Time

Has anyone tried to update for DST from Microsoft? I spent about one and 1/2 hours last nite trying to do this, and I think it's ok - guess I'll have to wait until Sunday morning to find out. A very complicated process......

Took me 15 seconds to install. Took more time finding the CAB file.

hmmm, my Q has been working fine for the past week now. I'm not sure if I want to open it up to get screwed again. What would be so hard to change your clock back or forward and hour twice a year? 1 hour isn't going to break me . . . and my Q doesn't even update the time zone when I travel?

OK, I did the dst update and active sync update to 4.5. But how can you tell if the Q was updated? Where on the Q do I find the updated file and How can I tell if it is the correct version?
