I just asked in the verzon forum, if not i will do it my self when i have time.
it takes a matter of seconds to dump the reg files...if i had a q9m we would have pic mail by now!!!
on your apps page how do you install zip files I have found them on the file manager in my phone but can't open like a cab file please help
Please someone please dump the reg for him. We all want this pic mail dont we?
Have mercy someone. GOD knows I have worked my a** off
unzip it on desktop and put them on ur phone via activesync.
can you walk me through it I am a begginner at this stuff and can't figure it out THX
if you're a beginner you'de be best served waiting for us to finish doing what we have to do...the app isnt going to work for you fresh out of the box.
Whats the Verizon Forum u went to? So I can go there a post a request and see if someone speeds it up. I think we care close, and especially with someone to help. Wish I had a Q9m, I would have done that already, thanx
a lot of people in this forum got Q9ms , we gotta post the request over there
aren't you guys getting slightly ahead of yourselves ?
from what i understand Verizon works with a 3rd party who takes care of the MMS part, wouldn't it be expected that it's in someway checked who's trying to use the "service" ?
i am not too familiar with all of this.. it works on mine (Verizon Q1), i am just trying to stay realistic before you guys get everybody super excited about something that may not work..
(ps. i believe that a while ago some Q1 users tried messing with Verizon register files, and one even flashed Verizon firmware in a non Verizon phone.. needless to say, there was never a "fix" found)
yes it is checked...but then again so was the treo 700wx and i managed to get that working...
Woah, lots of progress in this thread. Don't have time to read all of it, but it seems we (yall) are close?
if i had verizon i would dump the reg files right now plz someone do it
wow this is going no where lol
another one that claims to work
try it out
Just did, no way out. Still the same thing. So I have asked him to tell how he did and post pictures
had a feeling it wasnt going to work
thanks for testing it out...perhaps the person who claims it did work will post back
after looking into the q9m reg. it appears to use a oem motorola mms client.
Thats a good thing... right?
I was thinking....
My old Samsung VGA1000/ A620 (stop laughing) used Picture Mail to send and receive MMS, and if I didn't know any better, I'd have to say it was web based. I say this, because every MMS I got came in as a text with a link to a web site. Then I got one today from an ex with pictures of her new baby (no it's not mine ), and lo and behold... there's the link again.
If Sprint's implementation of MMS is done through this website, then how hard would it be to develop a client for our phone to upload content? Orrr.... taking the client off of another phone (it was likely a Java app on my old phone) and running that in Jbed?
