Newbie: Moto Q9 or Motorola Q?

I am about to take the plunge with my first smartphone tomorrow with the "Moto Q" from sprint..

I'm guessing this is really the "Motorola Q" right?

Is this "Moto Q9" something I should wait for instead?

I haven't seen anything about Sprint q9 so if you wanted a q9 then i would say you wait for another 7ish days for q9m from Verizon. (the date i read on boygenius was the 20th)

if you want att then wait for q 9h. I have the Vodafone one and its awesome. I like it better than my vzw Q.

There are two different Q9's the Q9h (GSM) and Q9m (CMDA), the both have some other differences as well.

Is there a good primer somewhere for idiots like me who don't know what all of the alphabet soup means? (CDMA, GSM, EV something or other.. Ect...)

GSM technology: used by AT&T and T-Mobile
CDMA technology: Verizon, Sprint, US cellular

Unless your lucky to be in a place where you have good coverage of both technologies then you'll have to choose between the h and m based on what is in your area. For example I travel between several states where there is no GSM coverage outside the big cities so I have to stay with verizon which means the m for me.
