got it. Nice look there.
Hair looks great, Nat!! have a glass for me! Richard bought Moet Champagne, so I am making baked ziti, caesar salad, and garlic bread....First year Bari is going to a friend's house, so I am a little depressed over that...my mother-in-law told me to "get used to it"...
Everyone, Have a SAFE, Happy and Healthy New Year's Eve!
Thanks! Yeah, gotta get used to the kids growing up and leaving the nest. I am going to heat up leftovers quesidillas from lunch. but your meal sounds alot better.
You look great THR! Sharing is caring you know, haha.
Thanks Sweetie, you still rocking the natural 'do? My locs are going on 5 yrs. And I am still loving them!!
Oh yeah! I am never chemically relaxing my hair again! Best decision I ever made. Just keeping it twisted or braided since it's winter. Wow, 5 years? I'm not even into year 2 yet!
wife got called into work, kids are out, just chillin on the Q.
Welcome to my "happy place"!!!
I get the joy of working. with the added bonus of having been up since 8am, tonight is gonna suck
Just got off of work, myself. Hubby had to go in though, so I'll wait up for him. Just watching the tube and surfing EQ. In other words, the usual. :laugh2:
Still deciding on whether I'm gonna pop open a beer or whip up a whiskey sour.
@ Natalie...your hair does look great! I think the last time I saw pictures it was red, wasn't it? Are afros making a comeback? I saw a few at Hanes Mall a few days ago. I like 'em. Reminds me of my youth in the 70s. :tounge:
^^^OMG! Laughing at the "afro in the '70's" picture! My mother, a 5'3" Jewish blue eyed blonde, had one! I have the pictures to prove it! My kids die laughing at this. Remember the afro "picks" with the "black-power fist"?? Had it coming out of her bell bottomed jeans back pocket!!
Don't laugh...I had one, too! Immortalized in high school graduation pictures. Only time I had short hair until recently. I still use a pick because my hair is curly. The elephant bell-bottoms are making a comeback, too!
Oh, how we wished we had black hair...we just looked like sad poodles.
Sad poodles....or Little Orphan Annie!!!
more and more are doing like me and Tech and wearing our natural hair. no chemicals, no straightners. I am kinky and I am proud! my daughter is not convinced though. she wants something to sling.
@cindra...thanks! since my hair is natural and so much more healthier i can change hair color frequently. it's been blonde, red, black and now multi colored.
Bari's hair is down to her mid-back, blonde, thick, and curly. She spends 3 hours at a clip with a straightening iron, trying to get it pin straight! No one is ever happy!
Nat, those aren't extensions? The 'do looks great, regardless!
no that's all my hair. haven't cut it in 5 years. been natural for about 8.
I have been letting mine grow for years. It gets down to my bra-strap, then stops growing! Very frustrating!
What does that have to do with your hair? haha!
you have been waiting to pay me back for that bra comment, haven't you. roflmao!!!
I knew my day would come eventually......haha!
