New Q firmware that will enable GPS by breaking the Verizon lock.
Is this user modified firmware or an update to the Napoleon?
It is a combination of development firmware, Qualcomm hacks and registry edits we are trying to compile into an easy to use executable or cabinet file.

Count me in. Verizon Motorola Q9C. i'd love to try any fix you may have for this.
I wanna be a guinea pig too
count me in!
You can count me in also, I have a q 9c, also want to say thank you for ya'll hard work in this GPS fix.
I wonder whether this will work with an Alltel 6.0 flashed to Verizon 6.1, I hope so!
It's important to note that the firmware component of this solution has only bbeen proven to work thus far on the latest leaked Napoleon firmware VERIZON_P2_NAP_AP_01.35.00R_NAPNOFTS_BP_C_01.05.00R_MONSTER_4278681197.sbf
and therefore is not necessarily going to work on any other model or firmware revision.

is that a stable firmware?
and i think my napoleon firmware is NAPOLEON_BP_C_01.00.93I (or atleast thats what my start-settings-about says)
Yes, so far it runs great but I've only had it on since yesterday. It is the last one that was developed for this phone. Seems the latest info about the cab file is that it will work on any smartphone though...so it may not be limited to this phone and flash.
I would recommend this firmware on the basis of my limited experience, although it is not significantly different than the previous revision.
The Version kbMan (CellZealot) is refering to is the second item you see when you hit ### SEND, NAP_AP_01.31.00R is likely what you have. NAP_AP_01.35.00R is what we tested yesterday.
would you have a link to download so if i decide to update i can use it?
yup you are correct...
im not sure if this will help or not but awhile ago you asked if i could get you some files..specifically sprint rom dlls and such (it seems like you might not need them) but in case you do i have them here
There you go...
What is the relationship between the Napoleon firmware you guys are talking about and Q9m/c 6.1 upgraded phones? Any? I'm confuzzled.
All I can say regarding these flash files is that they are internal developer builds and have custom bootloader and RAMDLDR revisions and the radio part of the ROM is for the Quadband and EvDO rev A capable Napoleon so I doubt they have any real value to anyone who doesn't have a Napoleon. That does not necessarily have any bearing on whether this GPS solution will work on other phones and firmware builds...probably it doesn't.
Hope that makes it a little clearer.
forgive me if this sounds noobish, but does this mean that there is a possibility that we can flash our q9m/q9c's with this rom and it just might fix the gps issues?
