new update for software on Moto 9QC???

    Do you mean a reboot or a master reset? If the latter, it's probably best to use that as a last resort, especially when other options may fix the problem. No need to lose all of your data if you don't have to.

    Very true, but if none of the options are working, then a master reset may be the only other option... I would much rather backup my contacts, calendar, etc. and lose some other info than have to struggle with a phone that continues to lock up!

    I don't disagree with you, but it doesn't look like the OP has tried all of the alternatives yet. If none of those work, then a master reset may be in order . . .

    *2 did nonething for me, it never addressed the fact that I had an outdated PRL nor did it prompt me to update it.

    I went online to sprint tech support and asked them to push it out to me and they did and it worked! thanks to all on this forum for your continuous help and support.
