It could be some sort of application log file, or Windows log file or some othr meaningless thing. I would try browsing around the device with a PC and seeing if there is any huge file in some directory.

I had a similar problem with my PC, where a simple little log file grew to like 3GB.

Just thinking about it if you did not have it before maybe it has something to do with the plugins on the homescreen,
    do a checklist

    Facade : doesn't show that
    RJ time: maybe
    Phone Alarm: maybe
Wasn't there programs that you had to download to make all the links work.???? like google maps, Gcalc, and Dashweather. etc
    Could be one of those.
I am not too sure I only had the theme for a week til I found out that it took soo much ram and made my phone really slow.

I have been using this theme since the beginning of May, without a problem. As I said, normally the available memory is around 25-26 MB, but now I only have 19.58.

something else might be running in the background that is not known. did you try turn the phone off and then on. and then check your memory maybe that might be it. did you clear the search file on google maps( i think there might be a temp cache) like PIE or Live search.

Phone has been turned off/on numerous times. Used SKTools lite to clean. Cleaned RAM. Don't use google maps...No place to "clear" cache on Live search...PIE cache/memory clear...

This is starting to annoy me...Device Storage: 52.36 MB
    Used: 32.90
    Free: 19.46 MB

    RAM Storage: 51.62 MB
    Used: 29.97
    Free: 21.64

When I connect to PC, what should I be looking for?

with live search i think you have to do it manually
but it also has an option in the settings to cache to the SD card so if you have that set then it shouldnt matter

Ok, Scott. I do have the option checked stating to cache to storage card. I tried "unchecking" it, but there was no place to then clean the cache...

well if you uncheck it...it wont automatically move it to the device
you will have to use it for it to create a new cache...

you are better off keeping it to cache on the sd card

That's what I thought. I "re" checked it, but the memory numbers are driving me crazy! I don't have anything else running! I currently have the phone hooked to the pc via the USB cable. I go to Active Sync, but I can't see everything.

    I see folders for: Databases/Application Data/ConnMgr/docprof/Documents and Settings/MAPI/My Documents/Program Files/and Storage Card.

Then, there is something called: fakename_xml
    Something called:kpdshm
    Microsoft.NETCF2.0.LOG
    Microsoft.NETCF3.5.LOG
    pim.vol
    usbSusRes

On the file Manager on the phone, there is more. I am stumped, and I don't want to remove anything, yet I have no idea why the memory os so low.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

you ahve 2 because you installed 2 and 3

they're used to run applications that need things that only those can supply and im not sure what that is

so far i haven come across anything that needs .net 3

    .net 2 was good enough

I just uninstalled it from: start/settings/remove programs.

    Now Used: 30.99 MB
    Free: 21.37 MB

Also, in my file manager on the phone, under "Program Files", there is my SyncClient. In there, there are a lot of things called: ClientSniffer_ 4_08_2008.log (different dates, though). What the heck are these, and can I delete them?

Some are small (498B) and some are larger(1.9K)

    Any suggestions?
