I'm not very technically educated so please give me a break if I'm not making much sense. I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma with an aux plug-in thing built in. I went to radio shack and bought a 3ft aux adapter that connects to where the headphones plug into a device. When i plug it into my phone and into the aux plug-in in my truck and turn the volume up on my phone, no music comes out of my speakers. I am on the correct station that is needed and i also turned my speaker volume up but no sounds comes out. Am i dumb or something because this isn't working.

I don't use an aux-plug, since I don't have one in my car, but don't you have to change source to aux? It should be the same button which allows you to switch between AM, FM, CD... and Aux. Usually, using a particular station on FM is reserved for a wireless FM transmitter, not the Aux.
