what about the regular dialpad cab file?
I have ben hirashima dialpad installed in my nap. I forget if I got it from your page or rb's.
how is the tcpmp working out?
It works great. It was just missing the Flashbundle 1.4.4. It's the same TCPMP and Flashbundle that I had installed on my 9h.
could someone Please do a write up on how to to make it all work? includeing the settings and such for smooth video viewing.
To make TCPMP work on Q9n
Download TCPMP and flashBundle cabs here.
1. Install both cabs.
2. Open TCPMP/options/settings/select page/file associations/[associate all files]/ok.
-The only files I did not associate are mpegs and 3gp files, because I want moto player to handle that.
3. Go to start menu and open (Video Sites) direct links to youtube and other sites. These links were installed along with the FlashBundle.
When clicking on a video, a menu will pop up asking:
1. Play Video
2. Save Video
3. Linked Page
Unless you have a really strong EvDo connection or you are using wifi, I would just save the video and play it from phone memory or storage card for smooth playback.
To save file:
Default is to My Documents.
To save to sd:
In download screen menu/save as/[name your file, then choose location]
its here for future reference
Thanks, I switched out my link with yours.
Any reason you guys are not using the newer CorePlayer? What's Flashbundle for anyway?
core play costs money...
Because TCPMP is cheaper - it's free. The flashbundle is necessary to stream or save videos from certain sites, one of which is the "FULL" youtube site using pie. WMP and Moto player will only play videos from the mobile sites.
Ah well that what i'm using do i need to use FlashVideoBundle for it then?
It was made specifically for TCPMP, so who knows if it will work. The only way to find out is if you install it. I guess now we know coreplayer can't play video off full youtube site otherwise you wouldn't be asking if you should install it.
Oh it can it has full Youtube built in i was just wondering if i needed it for other sites or if it was needed for direct play in IE.
Hard to tell, the flashbundle was not developed by the Core Player team.
Checked on XDA not compatible with CorePlayer. Oh well CorePlayer is allot better than TCPMP overall so i will keep and use that.
Yah you're better off with core player. But if you want to be able to play other flash sites, give skyfire a try. It's a browser that promises to access full websites. You can play flash right on the site instead of using a player. I use it more than pie or opera.
I have The Core Player and TCPMP on my Q9m/c....
I have The Core Player and TCPMP on my Q9m/c (only TCPMP+Bundle on the Q9n) ....TCPMC + Flashbundle to the phone and the Coreplayer to the card. The Core player has a built in Youtube search....not sure which site it goes to mobile? or Full?
