    My Sim Card

My Q stopped reading my sim card I can't get any service, just a screw icon.
I don't know if it's the network, my phone, or the sim card, because the sim card is brand new.

    Have you tried a reboot?
Have you tried turning phone radio on/off?

Try calling att or logging into your account online and you can chat live with a CS rep. They might be able to reset your account. If that doesn't work they will probably tell you to get a new sim card. If phone is under warranty still, sim card is free. If phone is out of warranty they may want you to pay for it. If they mke you pay for it, you could always just go to an att store and say you lost your sim card (that's what my friend told me to do - who is a manager of an att store) and they should give you one for free.

Ah... didn't think about a prepaid sim. I've never used a prepaid sim for att, but I know for some carriers, a prepaid sim card expires if not used for certain amount of time - usually after a few months.
