    Motorola Q Must Have Apps

Just a little list of things I can't live without. :)

    1. Dashwire (free) www.dashwire.com

Dashwire is awesome. Everything is synced to the internet and its 100% free. Everyone already knows about it but if you haven't tried it GET IT! (PS you can sync contacts back to your Q if you ever need)

    2. Skyfire (free for now still beta) http://www.skyfire.com/

This is hands down the best thing to ever happen to smartphones. The best internet experience possible so far for the Q. I have never seen wireless internet so fast. Its litteraly 5x faster then IE for the Q and just 100x better. You load the REAL internet and not just stupid mobile site (which IE can do btw but its sucks.) On my Q9c I get DSL speeds loading pages. This thing is just great.

    3. Windows Live Search (free app) http://livesearchmobile.com/

Ofcourse if you don't have this on your phone right now then why do you even own one? Gives you directions; airial views, movie times, you can find restraunts and bars and things to do. You 100% just need this.

    4. Coreplayer http://www.coreplayer.com/

Now windows media player mobile sucks. Its laggy; crashes all the damn time and sometimes I have to reboot my phone because it gets stuck. Coreplayer fixes most of these things and gives you good access to youtube (which skyfire does just as well.) With Coreplayer you're videos will player smoother and it has never crashed on me. I get 0 lag playing music videos on my phone. Its also more stable and easier to close than WMP because sometimes when I goto task manager and close WMP it takes forever!!!! And also sometimes requires a reboot because WMP gets stuck.

Remember you need codecs to play certain video files!

    5. Resco Explorer http://resco-explorer.en.softonic.com/windowsmobile

Now I prefer this app to the default mobile explorer because it loads so much faster. I'm sure thats do to preload but its so much better to use and the interface is much better. But its no super duper replacement for the File Manager app.

    6. Emulators

Picofrive Sega Genesis / Megadrive emulator (If you have this GET ALADIN)
    http://picodrive.acornarcade.com/

    PocketSNES

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but how does one install that Sega Genesis emulator onto their Q? I installed PocketNESter successfully, but can't figure this one out, and there are no instructions on the site.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for this thread! The software forum rarely makes clear what apps can be used on the original Q.
