    Moto Q Wireless

So can somebody step by step explain to me how to use my cell phones wireless for my laptop?
I think I saw some threads on it, but I just don't understand them.
So can someone explain it to me thoroughly?
There are no wireless signals around my neighborhood so I figured I could use my phones.
    US Cellular is my carrier.

PDAnet allows your laptop to use your phone's data plan for a connection. (takes the place of your carrier's tethering plan)

US Cellular does not support tethering. that being said, you can still do it, but if they notice the high data useage from your account, they can suspend your service. They have done this before to a couple friends of mine. Once they go EVDO company wide it may be a different story, but I wouldn't try it now.

There is no cab file. It is an exe you download from

    http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/download.php

When you install the software on your PC, it will ask you to connect your phone and also install the software on your Q.

Okay. I downloaded the Torrent because I guess it's not free?
Is the wireless that is transmitted to your laptop from your phone fast? Or is it the same speed my phone is?

When I try to ActiveSync my phone it says it doesn't roll with Vista. What's the deal with that?

I don't have Vista, but after searching on here, I see with Vista, you don't use ActiveSync, you use Windows Mobile Device Center.

You can use your phone with PDAnet to connect to the internet but you can not create a "wireless" (wifi) connection. You can connect the laptop and the cell phone with either a USB cable or through Bluetooth. The original "Q" does not have WIFI and cannot use WIFI. Hope this helps.
