What makes these different from stock roms??

And will any of these work on Sprint's Q9c?

    Monster file = motorola
stock rom = other windows based (mostly htc)

On the filename itself, it says either alltel or verizon, so no it is not meant for sprint q9c.

Don't know the difference between these two, but do you have a regular sprint or an MVNO sprint? Regular sprint's last update was around may and the MVNO last august. You should have been able to update your phone if you wanted to already.

Plain ol' sprint. And did you type those backwards? Stock = default, factory shipped, meaning it'd be from Moto...

Your definition of stock is right. Motorola doesn't call the software that is flashed on their phones as ROM's. AFAIK, HTC does that. Motorola calls their flash files as Monster files. That was the analogy I made my friend.

As for your upgrade file, try this. If your software versions are the same as the file you're downloading, then feel free to flash it with RSD lite. Otherwise, take two pills and call me in the morning.

Thank you so much for that monster flash file. If your phone is out of warranty and you want the new 6.1 for the q9c. This is the file!
