    Mobile Office

Why didn't Motorola use the mobile versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc for the Q9M instead of using Documents to Go? I've just switched from the Palm OS so I'm used to Docs to Go, but found it interesting?

    Any ideas?

    Why Docs To Go?

Probably because Documents To Go is better. I've heard it's more functional, for one thing.

why reinvent the wheel... Docs to Go works like a charm, as you know.

    Reinventing?

How is it "reinventing" anything? Microsoft includes Mobile Office in WM 6. Motorola probably had to strip it out (to save ROM space) and add Documents To Go in.

That may be a good decision (I haven't used Documents To Go, but I've heard generally positive comments about it, and Word Mobile doesn't seem that great), but nothing needed to be reinvented.

I had never seen that before but I have a tendency to click and drag (highlight) all over a page or anything I read on a computer. Pretty neat

For a five-year-old without the cojones to say it upfront.

Really? Spammers use invisible text all the time in E-mail, and Web masters have hidden keywords like that for years.

What does it say that a moderator resorts to that?

    Still Rude

Having to hide being a smartass isn't really being a smartass at all -- it's being a chicken.

And, no, I don't know you at all, really. But, from what I've seen, I don't care to.

Yeah, so? I don't expect people to be burying hidden messages in their posts, especially moderators. I guess I just expect better.

But my not having found it just reinforces my point about being a chicken.

Impressive trick ... *frustrated* ... I'm going to have to "select all" on every thread I read from now on!

I upgraded to the latest version of DocToGo two weeks ago. They have already recorded some of my suggestions and said they would consider implementing those in the next few releases. I doubt Microsoft would ever respond like the people at DocsToGo.

I was wondering where my mobile versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint were. However, Documents To Go seems to take care of my needs without any issues with converting or messing up the file in anyway. Plus, the mobile versions of Microsoft Office were never full featured and always seemed to lack the features I needed (such as more formulas for Excel).
