Mobile Office ... what to do?!?!

    Hey Gang,

Has anyone heard weather MS is developing something for the Q and Q like phones that don't have touchscreens so we can edit office files? Are there any alternatives i.e. the Q version of Docs to Go?

Rumour is, Windows Mobile 6 is on the way. Better office app viewing, same as Pocket PC, still no editing function though. The lack of a touch screen is a killer.

the only current office editting tool is documents to go....by default you dont need this program to view the files but if you want to make changes you would need this program

I found the WM6 office for my Q, and it works, but unless I'm missing something obvious, editing Excel files is downright crazy.

Open a document, switch it to edit mode, go to a cell, then have to hit Menu, scroll down twice, hit edit, and choose Cell Text

And this has to be done for every cell, no cell-to-cell jumping while editing...

I really see no point in this, seems like a cruel joke from MS actually...

Well, I got so frustrated, I bit the bullet and bought Docs to Go (and Facade and Papyrus for that matter), and now I am a much happier camper!

Yeah, well, I got my Q for $100 after a rebate, and already spent over $100 on software and a case :)

Was kinda hoping to avoid spending another $20+, especially if all I needed was easy editing of Excel docs... Oh well, Docs to Go is pretty nice I must say :)

STI.....its now an "infection" and not a "disease" :tounge: True story though, its too offensive to call someone diseased anymore.
