How do I save a sound file in a mms message as a ringtone?
mms and email tones are the same
you cant separate them....(atleast on the Q1 its like that)
how about InboxTones...does it separate the two? I no have mms so don't know!!
no MMS is not an option under the accounts available
good thought though
he's asking how to save a sound-file received by mms... i think.
oh..well...mr smarty pants to the rescue!
you just wait and see....
oooh is that what he meant:tounge:
that's my guess...
Good guess sir that's exactly what I want to do. I'd like to use it as my text message alert. It's really short (woo hoo somebody sent me a text message) I laugh everytime I hear it !!
from memory... once it's fully received press right softkey and select object view and from there you can save it...
Thanks I thought I tried everything but I guess I didn't!!
rb is the winner!

dang smart cookie...
(FIRST POST - so please don't flame me too much)
I got an mms ringtone. I pressed object view and was given the option of saving to my main memory or my storage card. I tried both ways and still don't see the sound file in my list of available ringtones when i access the sound settings. i have a Q9c if that makes a difference.
what am i doing wrong? any ideas?
is there a ringtone limitation size on the q9c ? im not sure this could be the problem... make sure its in the my documents folder or in the root of your storage card
Move it to the applicationdata/sounds folder took me a while to find it but it worked from there.
