Tired of having to resort to 3rd party apps

OK lets be realistic. I have been working on this issue for over two months now. There are two apps out there that cover this issue phone alarm and dontforget. Dontforget doesn't work correctly with 6.1 on the q9h and phone alarm requires you pay for the product. Phone alarm actually worked with my phone though. Its really risky to use pocket PC, WM5, or WM 2003 applications because they may bug out your phone. To the best of my knowledge phone alarm is the only application. This is not motorola's fault. Microsoft needs to step up there game and add one small feature to there phones. Another feature I would like to see added is timed SMS to chose when you want to send the text message.

Any updates on this? Lack of recurring missed stuff alarms has finally irritated me enough to do something. There is a tweak in SKTools for Reminder Repeating Time but that seems to do nothing. So is Phone Alarm still the best bet for a Q9h?

The SKTools option just loops the sound 'til you shut it off. You CAN use Tasks and set alarms for them and this has always worked fine for me . . . and it's FREE. :) -Q

Thanks for the reply. Love free  Thing is I'm missing too many message and voicemail alerts. Being in a sometimes noisy enviroment if I miss the vibration or sound I'm SOL. I need someting that will alert every minute until I act on it...like my last half dozen Moto phones:laugh2:

Silly me . . . Not exactly what I meant but who knew? :) Looking to determine why alarms/notifications seemingly do not repeat as do mine unless I disengage. :) -Q

Ha!! Good one man. :) Did you try setting a Task as an event alarm? I believe that should repeat. :) -Q

Thanks! But a task alarm can't alert me to missed calls and voicemails, can it?

Yeah, you're right. I guess you'll need to look at the aforementioned 3rd party apps. That's too bad. :) -Q

Found www.qorefunctions.com has an app called RepeatingAlerts Pro that does exactly what I was looking for. Works fine on mine.

Sounds like an add [IMG]. If I didn't own Don't Forget I'd try it out.
