    Hi.

I just got my first Windows Phone 7 (HTC HD7) and was an iPhone user before that. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to migrate all my iPhone contacts to my HD7?

    Thanks

    What I would do:
    iPhone: Save contacts to SIM
    HTC: Import contacts from SIM

(Like we always used to do?)

Thanks Jens - problem is they are different SIMs (iPhone is micro-sim and HD7 is regular). Also, my HD7 is locked to a different network so wouldn't accept the SIM anyway.

How about syncing your hotmail/live email account to your iphone, then sync your contacts to your hotmail/live account. Once the contacts are on the hotmail servers, it should sync down to your HD7.

    Another alternative:

    Connect your iPhone to computer.
    Open iTunes.
Click on your phone in iTunes.
Then on summary/info page...select sync contacts to google account.

    After syncing.....

Just add the google account to your WP7 phone and sync. The contacts will be synced to your phone.

I would definitely recommend this method. Having your contacts in the cloud is a good idea of backup purposes.

I agree termleech, the cloud or your companies Exchange server are the best locations for your contacts. You never have to worry about losing your important information if you need to reset your phone.
