turns out my email was auto-deleted by my hotmail account filter and as a result I had no idea I was accepted into the beta.

Either way I've been playing around with it and it's pretty handy. It updates faster than dashwire and seems to do a good job of not being intrusive.

I hope they give us more than 200 megs in the future... that's like nothin.

I'm guessing it has to be running in the background to update on a schedule. It closed down on me and didn't update as scheduled.

Got my "invite" yesterday, but was too sick to play. Tried installing today, and get the warning "not made for your OS..." I click the install anyway, and surprise...Installation is unsuccessful!

Are you sure you are running the Q with the Windows Mobile 5 OS???

Did you try the "install" file that the other poster posted? Nowhere does it ask for my telephone number...All they did was give me the same "install" file, but it won't install on my OS...

Actually I do believe it is.
It's running as a service which doesn't show in any "taskmgr" list.
It's using very little resources IIRC.

I had signed up for the beta maybe two weeks ago or longer and i still havent received the email either. With the way everyone is talking though ill try to log in when im not mobile. Everyone is comparing this to dashwire, but how does this compare to Sprite backup?

It doesn't do a total back up, sprite does.

the differences are exactly what dafoxs said. It isn't fair to compare it to sprite bacup because they are completely different utilities

I had signed up for it mainly out of curiosity but haven't received a conformation yet. What does it actually back up? :) -Q

contacts, texts, pictures, it might do the calendar. it's basically dashwire, but it won't do the pim stuff if you have an exchange account (which I do). How long ago did you sign up? It took about a week to get my invite.

That's basically what I was looking for. I was still unclear on how/what all this backed up so I didn't know if it was closer to a sprite type backup or dashwire, both of which I have used (currently use sprite, for obvious reasons).
