    Just curious...

    My Q came with a 3.7v battery (part# SNN5783B)

I am looking to buy another standard battery, but everyone that I find online is different:
    3.5v (part# SNN5695A) at Verizonwireless
    3.6v (part # SNN5783A) at yourwirelesssource

I suppose my question is this:

    How important is that 0.1v?

OK. I spent a good deal of time on the phone today with Verizon PDA Tech Support, Verizon Accessory People, and other general Verizon personnel.

After being passed around like a baby with a dirty diaper I was able to pin down a couple of tech persons. They admitted no knowledge about the variety, but one (the most senior tech person I got to) said, "If you purchase a battery for your Q from Verizon then it is going to be compatable with your Q."

Performance wise he refused to be pinned down as to whether the 3.5/3.6/3.7v would affect it.

My theory is that the Q was designed with the 3.5v and it didn't provide enough 'go-juice' so they escalated it to 3.6v then finally 3.7v on the production roll-out. This is just my theory. I have no source, confirmation, or inside-knowledge; it is based solely on conjecture.

I finally signed off with the techies and told them that I would hold off on buying another standard battery until my local Verizon store had one in stock that I could see.
