Is there a hack to stop the system from sending me messages saying my message sent?

Everytime i text people its usually long (200 characters or more) so i geet two or more system messages, i have about a 20-30sec ringtone. IT IS SO LOUD WHEN IT OVERLAPS AND I CANT EVEN SILENT IT! i have been in situations in public where i had to take the battery out because lowering the earpiece volume does nothing!
I know there is a hack to stop it but it was for a different q, the 9c or 9m or something and i thought it would work for my Q1 (like other hacks for the 9c do).. well it did not
can somebody please tell me the one for my Q1
    thanks in advance

there is no way to stop a text tone

and yes if you read the hack sticky thread you will see this hack listed
or download the cab file in rb's apps page 'nosentmessage.cab' (or something like that) and it willdo that hack for you

just place the .cab anywhere on your phone or SD and run it... it will do the hack for you and then you can remove the .cab...

If your wanting to try the hack yourself (with a reg editor) follow these directions:

    HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox

Create a new Key in the Inbox file and name it "Settings"

In the new Settings file create a new String named "SMSNoSentMsg" and make the String Value "1"

Soft reset the phone and BAM! no more Sent Message Popup

The .cab should just "work"...try sending a short message to someone, and see if you still get the "message sent" notification...

Also, didn't you post another thread about this? I think I answered to find the hack in that thread...

hmmm not sure if it has something to do with it being a Q1 or what....

did you try to do the hack yourself using a reg editor?

    I listed those instructions above.

    Scott,

If the .cab does work on Q1, then following the hack instructions on pg 1 would work too, right?

unfortunately not the only other way would be for him to mail the phone to someone

my suggestion is to install the hack again and reboot if it still does not work then retry the hack and make sure you did it the right way

thanks for trying to help guys.. and scott i wouldnt mail my phone to somebody else if you held a gun to me head..l not to sound cheap but thats wayyy to risky
and btw, what stopped is that notification that tells me the message is sent
    i got that
so i guess something did work :)
but what i wanted was the actual SMS message that is sent to me after every message i send. i want to stop recieving that
here ill tell you everything i am doing just to help you help me:
    1. I plug my phone in, Active Sync is installed and a trial of Resco.
    2. My phone shows up on active sync
    3. I use the Explore function to navigate myself to Application Data>Games(a folder i created myself, where i keep SPVman)and i put it in the games folder
    4. It is stated 'setup.xml' (from RB's thread) When i downloaded it, it was a .rar file so i extracted it to my desktop.
    5. I go to File Manager on my phonea then go to Application Data> Games> then i click "setup.xml" (without the quotes)
    6. A bar at the bottom of my screen on the Q shows up, i think it said 7mb and then it filled up (im guessing its loading or something)
    7. After that i soft rest my phone.
    8. Turned it on.
    9. Messaged somebody (SMS) and i got the System Administrator Message

sry for the long post just trying to explain as much as i can to you
thanks in advance and thanks for trying :)
    and BTW
You can delete the other thread i have, i have no use for it, or close it. Thanks
