    OK, we understand. The current version of InboxTones is designed to monitor the From field for either specific Senders or Groups of Senders. We may expand this to other message fields in the future, but it seems like this works for most users at the moment. ActiveSync Outlook accounts are supported if mobipush directs mail to this account.

    I wasn't blaming InBoxTones for the echo. It has already been established that this phone is "flakey" & has it's own little quirks. But that's OK, it works for me & that's what counts.
    Thanks again for keeping us informed.

    *update*

    initially i did not think this was something i would use... giving it some more thought i changed my mind, installed it last friday and really digging it alot.. it prevents me from having to take the Q out of my pocket every time i get email/sms/mms because i know by sound who it is from which is very convenient. (most times i know, still learning to who i assigned what sound :}

    biggest issue thus far: finding cool tones :}

    from QoreFunctions - InboxTones Update

    Hi Folks,

    We just posted a behavior update to InboxTones for non-touchscreen devices like the Moto Q:
    • When the device sound profile is set to a non-ringer type such as "Vibrate" or "Meeting" AND the default sound is set to "None" for Email and SMS, InboxTones will now vibrate the device if the vibrate option is selected for Accounts or Senders.
    Simply download and install over your current version.

    I don't know if this has been answered already or not, I can't quite keep up with this thread, but can you silence the ringtone before its run its duration, like with Photo Contacts Pro ????

    no...you set how long you want the tone or song to play for within the app...1-15 seconds.

    I believe you can -- there is an option that you can control how many seconds the sound file is played.

    anybody know if they are working, or will be working, on a fix for the whole non-vibrate option?

    i love the app and what it does, but i hate the fact that when i put my q profile on vibrate, my q won't vibrate unless i have the vibrate option checked off on the inboxtones app. but the kicker is when i switch back to normal profile, i dont want the q to ring and vibrate too! so i have to be going back in and out of inboxtones whenever i switch profiles and that gets way too tedious.
