    Yes, you can downgrade.

Yes, EVERYTHING from the phone gets wiped. Back it up if you want it.

i recommend not downgrading... the 6.1 version is very stable and the speed for running applications seems to be optimized. it's fast and smooth. I would wait for some hacks regarding ICS if that is your concern.

There already is a thread here. And I'm making a sticky, complete with photos and all, over on MMUK.

Awesome, didn't have a hiccup or anything on my vista ultimate machine. used RSD 4.1, took about 15 mins tops to find and download everything and do the whole process.

Now I have something to look foreward to when I go to work tomorrow. I'll play with 6.1!~ yay

Thanks a TON Mex, awesome stuff =))

One thing that would really help is updating the original post with all the links that help. Would make it easier and happier >_<

    it worked for me...

Followed everyone's advice in this thread and it worked like a charm!. The new interface is really slick and well worth the upgrade. As an added bonus, the "my Location" feature in Google Maps works where it didn't in WM6! Thanks to Mexiken for this awesome find!!

    Glad my input helped.
    You're not just a noob. You're a noob with the 6.1! That says a lot !

If you're like most others, you should take a peek at the Slider customisation thread @ Our own CHome Configurator thread

Does adding more sliding panels slow the device down? i like how zippy it is since 6.1... and hell even opera opens up MUCH quicker..

I want to keep it zippy..

Lucky you. Opera takes at least 10 seconds to open and another 5 seconds for the data to start streaming.
Everyone's experience varies I guess. Havent really paid attention to battery life as I charge the phone at work so I can play around with 6.1 during my commute home. If I can remember I will do a test next week.

Wow, Nobody has posted for 2 days. Everyone must be consumed with testing, hacking, modding, palying with the new 6.1. haha. I just loaded on to mine per crshman's instructions on page umm...15? Worked like a charm! Anyways, now to load all the hacks back on.
Thanks to all who made this possible, esp. Mexiken :laugh2:
