When I enlisted gas was around 1.00. It now costs me 4 times as much to get to drill (and my armory is 100 miles away) We carpool a lot more than we used to...

  2. WIMP!!! You can hike that!!!
Shoot I am overweight, etc. and I can hike 100 yards, you should be able to do 100 miles.
    Come'on....

Just went up to $4.07 in Parker, AZ (near Lake Havasu).. When I went to visit my Dad in Playa Vista, CA (Los Angeles), I paid $4.39. Poor Ford Focus isn't going to be able to be making these trips to CA if gas keeps going up. Lol.

I was at the doctors yesterday and I was talking to this 82 year old gentleman. I said that in the early 70 it cost him less than $3.00 to fill his car up. Now you can not get a gallon for three bucks. Everyone needs to contact their congressman and tell them we need to start drilling for our own oil now. Sorry if that sounded like a rant :foot:

Gas here is right aron $3.80 a gallon for mid grade. In my company vehicle, I put in nearly $250 a day.

In my personal vehicle, I haven't even filled it up in about two and a half months. I love the fact that my bosses live 200 miles away and don't notice 20-30 miles a day missing from my reports (they deserve it, they use BLACKBERRIES!).

I think when I fill up next (tonight or tomorrow) it will be in the 2.75 range south of our nations capital. I'm assuming DC will be about 10-20 cents higher depending on where you go.
