    How can it hold 32gb?

im thinking of getting a q9h and in the details i see it can hold 32gb's... how is this possible? and also, how much memory does it come with for music and stuff? this might be a dumb question but dont the memory cards only go up to 2 gigs?

I believe the q9h can use the sdhc cards (which i believe the hc stands for High Capacity)

They are / plan to make up to 32 gigs.....

256MB ROM/96MB RAM on the phone side and the current microSDHC card is 6GB, but if you notice AT&T's site say the largest they carry is 2GB which could confuse buyers. I picked up a 6GB in advance from Amazon with a high capacity card reader for $84 with free shipping.

I think I read somewhere that 16GB cards should be out before the end of the year, and 32 GB cards in the first quarter of 2008.

Be careful, though. I don't think the Vodafone version takes the big cards. It only takes up to 2GB.

Yeah, the 32GB is "as per available in the marketplace" per Motorola's website. Awesome.

I currently only have my 1GB but I am holding out for the 8GB which I understand is to be next out. And if it ends up being larger than 8 then there I will go!

There are already tons of 16GB cards in the market, most around $175 - $200. That's not bad, since four 4GB cards will set you back at least $120. Here's the news release I was thinking about, announcing Toshiba's 32GB card coming out in January.

uh those are SDHC and not microSDHC... the standard sized SD(HCs) aways come way before the smaller counterparts so 16gb microSDHCs are far away in 2008 since the next large cap microSDHC will be 8gb from sandisk and a non-sdhc microSD from samsung

we can also forget about miniSD/SDHC coz the only largest cap in the market is a 4gb miniSDHC from toshiba and i believe device makers are leaning towards the smaller microSDs

Actually I have a 6GB microSDHC card with card reader from Sandisk. It also includes the adapters so you can make it a miniSDHC or SDHC card. So 6GB is now, with 8GB next year.

did that card work easily for you?

I have a 6gb SDHC microSD card which is only showing 2gb on my 1st gen Q (with SDHC cab upgrade), though my 4gb SDHC microSD card has full 4gb capability on the same device.

I am still waiting for AT&T to start selling the Q9 Global in my market, supposedly very soon, :tounge: and once I get it I will confirm it but I suspect it won't be an issue since I have read that the Canadian users are having no issues thus far.

The original Q only supports up to 2GB but the Q9h supports up to 32GB. Sorry.

Motorola only supports 2gb on the Q, but the 1st gen Q can handle 4gb with ease. I've been doing it for months without issue, even SDHC.

So, the question is, what 'else' can it do that they didn't state up front.
