I was looking around in the Windows folder on my HTC Ozone yesterday and came across the .jpg for the sliding panel. If you search for a program called, "Total Commander", for smartphones over at XDA-DEV, install it to your phone, and copy the file to your card, you can then edit with a photo editing program to whatever you want. Then you just need to use TC to overwrite the original file in windows. (Save the original to restore just in case).

I'm still new to this, so others can correct me any time!

that wont accomplish what the OP wants

the answer is no you cant make them transparent
the screen is 320x240 and if some of your image is cut off use an image that is 320x213
that will allow you to see the entire image since the last pixels wont be cut off by the start menu
if thats what you were going for

Are you talking about the sliding panel or the bar at the bottom? If you're talking about the glass-like panel with the time in it, then that's what what I was talking about.

If you mean the bar at the bottom with Start and Contacts, then see n99hockey's reply.

    I think?:032:question

No, no, no. :p He means the bar that highlights where you are when you arrow down through the screen. It really isn't necessary because the text changes too. Unfortunately transparent isn't a color.

    oh that bar
    you can make that transparent
although you would need to make the text turn bold when you highlight it so you know where you are on the screen
but yea that can be done
