    Home Service/Searching...

    Hello all.
My Moto Q is on Visafone CDMA network in Nigeria and it has never registered my network ID for once. All it shows is mostly "Searching..." or "Home Service" intermittently. Is this normal and does it have any effect on my battery life, because I know CDMA phones use extra battery power while in "Searching..." mode. Any suggestions or advice? Cheers. Thanks in advance.

I would contact Visafone and ask them to be honest. Sounds like an error on their end.

How do you switch to cdma only?

Under network selection I only have Home, Automatic A and Automatic B. It still says searching regardless of which one I choose. This really chops up my battery and I need to resolve this issue.
