well excuse me for trying to help you but you dont exactly have a way with explaining what you are doing!

you said you put it in that folder (\application data\home) and then opened it and a program opened
now to ME i thought you just clicked on the file you loaded

so maybe you can try to explain what you are doing
    what file did you download?
    where did you download it?
was it a zip file or a cab file (make sure you check the extension of the file since the icons on the PC are the same)
  2. It was a zipped file...

I put it from the computer to my device after I unzipped in Winrar. Until that point, when I tried to do anything it would show me the program...as it was written, by the author. etc etc...

Now that I've unzipped everything, and sent it to where it goes in my phone... it looks nothing like what the picture showed on the picture in the thread I saw.. it would seem that I have everything where it goes now.

    thanks for the link RB

yea doesnt appear to need any plugins
you should just load the image and xml file to the \application data\home folder

also you should not that in the homescreen settings on the device
(start --settings-- homescreen) the background image should be set to default and NOT the image thats loaded

perhaps my friend the Urban Dictionary can explain it for you:laugh2:
  12. it means he's not fretting over the fact that we are not communicating well. that his heart rate isn't elevated at all... that in fact he is as cool as a cucumber...

    yes back to topic
    @blueonblackstrat
did you try the background to default setting i mentioned?
  15. yes, I did it exactally as it was put in the how to download a home screen when I do that... it's even worse... Now it had two what I'm going to call files with it.

It had the zipped file, which I unzipped and it had the blue background with the buttons... (unzipped that too)

Perhaps I need something else downloaded to make it work. because I downloaded another that comes up, however, all the icons are where they are under normal circumstances.... Now that is just a background I believe...so I tried all the homescreens and nothing seems to be like it was on Der Altas page...

it either lops off the cans... or her head...

i guess it might need a plugin im not sure....
    but other screens work?
  17. well I got it to work... as shown on his page... I thought I unzipped the file, however, I must not have... that one shows up on my screen... as it appears on here. the other one, however... not gonna happen I reckon (red neck dictionary) I guess...

the one I really wanted to get on here... was a jumbled mess... perhaps I'll keep on trying to get it.

OK, found it, downloaded it and have loaded it to my Q.

A few questions before we begin.

Are you on Verizon Wireless? I ask this, because that screen needs a Verizon Plugin to work properly. If you're not on VZW then you're out of luck with that homescreen.
