Hidden applications on q9c A romdump turned up the following applications. Some of them are easily identified by filename. Some of them, however, aren't even shown to the user under normal circumstances. APInitiatedFreeze.exe arinvalid.exe AudioEnhance.exe bridge.exe BTConnManager.exe BTInvoke.exe BTPcRemote.exe BTSendObject.exe BTStatus.exe BTSyncSP.exe BtTraceSP.exe BTTray.exe catalog.exe CDMA_Connection.exe CDMA_DisableMdmLnk.exe CDMA_Menu.exe CertScan.exe CircularStartMenuView.exe ClearMasterResetFlagApp.exe ClientProvision.exe dfcontacts.exe DownloadAgent.exe FileManager.exe FormatSD.exe ftm.exe IntShr.exe IPUtil.exe KeypadLockApp.exe MasterReset.exe mediaManager.exe MemoPadApp.exe MemoryManager.exe MMSListener.exe MobileCalculator.exe ModemBridge.exe MotoConverter.exe MotSettings.exe PDFToGo.exe PMQHelp.exe RSKCustom.exe rtc_n.exe rtc_u.exe sdpready.exe SheetToGo.exe SlideshowToGo.exe smsTrigger.exe startmenuview.exe TaskManager.exe tcmd.exe tdsserver.exe TimeWizard.exe UserDefinableMRUSetup.exe vcam.exe wcsan.exe WelcomeCenter.exe WordToGo.exe ZipToGo.exe I started running the ones that looked interesting. I used the prun app out of itsutils to make it nice and easy. These apps should be on any verizon q9c. Give some of them a try and let me know if you find anything fun in there. The best one I've found so far is probably IPUtil. Interesting ones in bold. MotSettings - black screen. Appears to do noting. Media manager - nothing special intshr - internet sharing settings IPUtil - Allows PING, DNS lookup and IP address configuration!!! ModemBridge - Offers a half-complete screen with Yes and No, select "no", device locks up. CDMA_Menu - Phone settings BtTraceSP - some sort of Bluetooth debug app? Has a "dump registry" option BTPcRemote - Not sure. asks me to add a new device. CDMA_Connection - no idea. Kind of afraid to test. PMQhelp - "personalize my q help" - list of ways to customize UserDefinedMRUSetup - Set user defined home screen shortcuts AudioEnhance - Audio engancement settings arinvalid - nothing? bridge - nothing? catalog - MARKETPLACE - "error no catalogs are configured on this device" FTM - quickly flashes "programming *something*" then goes away TimeWizard - doesnt appear to do anything. Oh. by the way, I take absolutely no responsibility if you pooch your phone. I have no idea what most of these things do.
we want to add aa background image to it or change the windows logo. please tell be you found the logo in there.
I've been poking around a little bit, and I didn't find the start-button windows logo in the ROM. I'd bet you can replace the whole start bar by creating or editing a theme though. But I didn't have time to get that far into it. Figuring out how to extract wm6 themes will go a long way to helping your goal I think.
