HELP! Windows Mobile Device Center - Doesnt recognize phone connected!

    Hey everyone!

I seem to be having some issues synching! I have Vista Home on my laptop and the original Q from Sprint. I never used to have problems synching but now when i connect via USB on my laptop...the windows Mobile Center doesnt pull up or recognize that the phone is connected to the computer so that I can synch. I deleted the relationship fromthe computer but still not recognizing it. HELP!:foot::angry:

Oh and it synchs just fine using activesynch on my computer at work with XP. Any suggestions?

    Try this:

Settings > Connections > USB to PC > Unclick "Enable advanced network functionality" > Exit settings

    Power down, then Power up

Windows Mobile Device unable to connect to Windows mobile device center.
Windows Mobile Device unable to connect to Windows mobile device center, worked previously and now all of a sudden it will not connect to the computer, however it will charge. Steps i have taken to try to resolve the issues.

-removed all devices related to phone
    -unchecked advance functionality under connects
    -removed all partnerships
    -attempted with bluetooth

I have checked the event viewer and found this:
Windows Mobile-based device failed to connect due to communication (0x80072745) failure (see data for failure code).

I believe it to be an issue with the device which is a Motorola q9c. I have had this problem with windows xp before and the only way i have been able to get around this is to hard reset the phone and at this point in time i dont believe this should have to be done. Possibly a registry settings for the connect to activesync or WMDC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So i decided to try to use motorola phone tools 5.0.5 to talk to my q9c when i installed it and then followed the on screen instructions to plug in my phone it went to detect and what do you know the windows mobile device center pops up and says im connected now and i have synced your data , geez all this trouble. So needless to say my issue is resolved.
