first of welcome aboard.. for AIM you can Google for Agile (haven't used it myself), there are other most likely.

secondly.. there are tons of web sites that have mp3/wave/midi ring tones you can use on the Q, you can also create them yourself.

it's a good idea to connect your Q to your pc using ActiveSync so you can transfer files from one to another & vice-versa.

    hope this helps...

Use the program Audacity to clip your own mp3s to 30 second clips.
Google it, there is a free version.

I don't believe so. There is an option on my Audacity to export as mp3.

I am at work but I can put a play by play up in a few hours. As I recall in Audacity you should be able to go to File / Save As / There should be an mp3 option. I will check it out when I get home and let you know.

Also check out CDex. It's a CD ripping utility (free). Not only can you rip from CD direct to MP3, but you can also rip CD to WAV and then import that file into Audacity.

    Audacity Tutorial

    Try this Audacity ringtone tutorial.

    Steve

P.S. In the future, I really suggest using better subjects. Some people specifically don't bother looking at posts with "content-free" subjects like "Help". Something like "Help With Ring Tones & AIM" would be much better. Even better would be making those two very different topics separate threads.

    Not Even

Nah, I'm not even in Wikipedia. :laugh2: (Interestingly, the closest hit seems to be a gay -- or bi -- porn star. :gasp:)

I used to use this all the time. Once converted into wav you could open it with windows sound recorder and cut the wav in there then convert back to MP3. Did it for my 815 and LG all the time.
