    Help backing up contacts

I hope maybe someone can help me. My HTC Touch 6900 screen went out. I am still able to use the USB to activesync it but it's not getting my contacts. Can someone tell me what I need to use to get my contacts as some of the numbers I won't be able to get again.

    Copy "pim.vol".
It can sometimes be a small hassle to restore.

In my experience you'll need to copy it to the phone in another location, rename pim.vol on the new phone then use the phone's file explorer to restore it.

I had no luck copying it straight from the computer for some reason although others have.

PIM Backup is a great program....allows you to select/save and restore contacts, appointments, tasks and other things.

    Follow my instructions above.

Connect the phone to the PC,
Make sure "show hidden files and folders" is unchecked in the PC's folder options,
Copy "pim.vol", which should be on the phone's root folder,
copy to the new phone overwriting the original by activesync.

In my experience sometimes pim.vol needs to be copied to the phone BEFORE overwriting the original.
