When I first came to (everythingq) it was so much more active.. =[
yep..it has slowed in the last few months. Lots of members have moved on..
I guess that's what happens when you discontinue the model and series! The other areas of everythingwm are very active...
I'll admit, I haven't been here in a few weeks. I thought I would still stop by, but my time has just been divvied up into my normal car forums and my new one, Everything I Cafe. I graduated a couple weeks ago, and my fiance got me a 3G-s for a gift. I still love this forum, but the slowness lowered my activity here as well. This is still a great board, and with the additions of all other WinMo devices will only get better. Now, WinMo itself just has to keep getting better.
we need to get our name out that we arent just a Q board anymore!
Agreed, do we have Ad's?
that im not 100% sure of
my first instinct is no
We should get on that. My guess is that if people knew we had a larger selection of phones then we would get a lot of people back. Quite a few people switched from the q to HTC or Samsung.
I like my trusty ole Q though :dft006:unhappy I hate this change crap! /end grumpy old man moment
hahaha yea i hear you!!
As Sherri points out, it's difficult to keep a forum alive when the company drops the platform and series. I do think that the move everythingWM will serve the site in the long run and I think we're making progress on that front.
Like Windows Mobile in the marketplace, people are jumping platforms. Those folks ultimately drop the platform and the forum. Thankfully, we've got destinations for those members.
I think the interesting thing will be Moto's Android play. The site recently was overhauled to integrate with EverythingAndroid.org. As Moto moves to Android, will Q users follow? This site will certainly make it easy on people who would like to discuss Android. The Android tab at the top will jet you to the Android forums, where your exisiting eWM login will work.
Lots of people betting against Windows Mobile, but I don't see it going anywhere. The bulk of devices available at major carriers are Windows Mobile based. October 6th marks the release of 6.5 and I'd suspect they'll use CES to showcase Windows Mobile 7.
BTW, welcome to eiC and thanks making that your home for iPhone discussion.
Links to the other sites (Android...) would be handy on the mobile version of eWM.
It's bound to happen sooner or later, things go obsolete so fast now! It's all a giant money making scheme. Not that there aren't times for an upgrade or two.. :dft012:wink
and its a good thing we are now WM and not Q exclusive!
That sure helps. I Googled "smartphone forum" and we're not very high on the list. We should talk about getting our page rank up.
Good thing most people don't search for smartphone forum.:dft012:wink
Good point :dft011:tounge_out
*group hugs for all* free of charge...for now XD
