    Google maps in gsm mode

Though the gpsone chip is locked to the qualcomm CDMA radio and doesn't work in gsm mode, google maps still works really well. The phone exposes cellids in gsm mode and the GPRS data performance is adequate. Turn on the wifi as well and you won't miss the gps chip much.

The phone is also very clear in gsm mode in Germany. Seems better than AT&T here.

The iPhone maps is better??? Where's buzz, latitude, wikipedia, starred item sync, and other layers on the iPhone? The iPhone version is years behind. The Ajax version may not last either if apple pisses off google.
