It does work. Buzz is not enabled in my desktop view of Gmail, but it works in the Google Maps 4. Activate it in 'My Layers', sign in with your gmail account and you are good to go.
I am picking up 'buzzes' from people who arent even in my contact list..I guess it's a privacy setting. Kinda cool in a way..especially when you are on a bus like I am now.

Initially, My Location was placing me somewhere in Kansas even though I was right outside Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.. but it seems to be working now. My GPS settings did revert to default a couple of times though. Hoping that it's just a temporary glitch.
On an off note, the yellow in the mobile site hurts my eyes.

Wow Columbus is really 'buzzing'! This is pretty interesting, can't wait until it gets to my desktop gmail account.

Cool, this is working on my HTC Ozone running WM6.1, updated mine from ver 3.x to 4.0 and under My Layer, it's "buzzing" - GPS is working super fast, got 9 or more satellites even indoor - out of the home office.

There seems to be a bug with this version where the GPS settings won't stick.
I've always used the Microsoft GPSID tool to set GPS to COM 3 at 9600 baud rate. I've always managed to lock to 8-12 satellites this way. Now the settings in Gmaps 4.0 always resets to the default settings. Any ideas?? Maybe I should just revert to an earlier Gmaps and say screw the Buzz Layer.

I have used Google Maps on the Epix in the past, and the cab file installs okay. It’s not working too well right now, but then, I’ve been having trouble with the GPS lately, so my trouble is probably app-independent.
