    Goodbye Q

No real reason behind getting rid of it. Love the phone, just upgrading to something with WiFi and can do more. Thanks for all your help guys, it was a blast! :laugh2:

I know some people love WiFi, but it's the least used feature on any of my phones (that have it:wink:).

Not to jack a thread, but if you have an unlimited data plan on the phone, do you need wifi? Why? I'm a little confused...

you dont....in my opinion its a waste of $$

on the other hand...if you are in a rural area it might help out...but would only work in wifi hot spots

Thanks, Scott. That's what I thought. My nephew just got an i-pod touch for his birthday, and if he "gets" wifi in the car, wouldn't that be "unsecure"?

Yep. He's 11, and seems to think that since on his home pc, he always sees "wireless connection available" (probably from neighbors unsecured networks), that it will work in the car (at least in the immediate vicinity)...

I know that in wifi spots like Starbucks they give you access to their wireless and on hotels they give you a code to log on securely...

My oldest want the ipod touch, but wants internet. Told her I think you can only get internet where an available wifi connection is...

Am I right or is my 11 year old nephew correct in that he can get onto unsecured wireless connections?

well it will work if you can connect to your neighbors network while lingering outside or what not but once you get far enough past it wont work

but driving down say the turnpike or what not it wont work

I'm leaving the Q as well. Enjoyed the device when it was working properly but it is defective and I've been put in a Blackberry. I have enjoyed the forum. Thanks you guys for everything!
